The Indy Chamber developed a two-year pilot program to support small and mid-sized companies with the implementation of best practice recommendations leading to enhanced wellbeing outcomes, decreased racial disparities and improved business success metrics.
At the Chamber's recent Workforce Pilot event, Maureen Weber shared valuable insights on addressing racial inequalities in early childhood education and the business community's role in expanding access to child care.
Commemorating Juneteenth
Early Learning Indiana (ELI) joined in the Children's Museum of Indianapolis' Juneteenth Jamboree celebration. Our team set up a booth to provide bilingual books for early learners while also sharing valuable information about enrollment and recruitment opportunities available at our DEL centers.
Participating in the Juneteenth Jamboree was an important way for us to honor the significance of this holiday and showcase our dedication to promoting equity and inclusion through early education.
Collaborating in Sullivan County
Elected officials, business leaders, community leaders and high-quality providers met to discuss the economic impact of child care in Sullivan County. ELI Chief of Staff Jonathan Dilley led discussions aimed at exploring the child care access gap and identifying sustainable solutions to ensure a prosperous future for Sullivan County. He joined an expert panel – including Sullivan Mayor Clint Lamb, CASY Program Director Kristi Burkhart, and Erin LeDune, marketing and recruitment specialist at Sullivan County Community Hospital – for a robust discussion. ELI is always seeking opportunities for collaboration statewide. To have ELI participate in an upcoming event, please reach out to Community Outreach and Engagement Manager Marienid Gonzalez-Melendez.
